Thomas Vanneman - With over 20 years of executive
level positions with start-ups, emerging growth and Fortune 500 companies,
Vanneman's background includes extensive experience in financial management,
strategic planning, investor relations, operations, consulting, and project
management.
Prior to joining Volatus, Vanneman held the position of Vice President
and CFO for Escient Technologies, a holding company for several Internet
and technology companies, where he led several Private Placements.
He previously served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for
Software Artistry, Inc., a public software company specializing in help-desk
applications. As a result of Vanneman's financial leadership and Software
Artistry's solid performance, Tivoli Systems acquired the company. His
financial guidance of the organization through this process garnered him
the respect of both Wall Street analysts and his peers.
Vanneman previously served as Vice President and Treasurer of Acordia,
Inc., an insurance services company. During his tenure, he helped lead
the company through a successful initial public offering; led Investors
Relations; and oversaw the Company's Best Practices efforts.
Prior to Acordia, Vanneman spent eight years with Alexander & Alexander
Services, Inc. and was respected as a leader for improving under-performing
business units.
A graduate of the University of Iowa, Vanneman earned a Masters of Arts
in Economics and a Bachelor of Business Administration.
